The house rules

Always Somebody works because people are decent to each other. These rules keep it that way.

1. Adults only

You must be 18 or older to chat. If somebody seems younger, report them with Seems under 18. When two different people report an account that way, it is locked.

2. Be kind

3. No spam, scams or selling

4. Keep private things private

Don't share your own or anyone else's home address, phone number, passwords or financial details. Don't post private information about other people.

5. Nothing illegal

No content that sexualises minors, no threats of violence, no selling drugs or weapons, and nothing else that breaks the law.

What happens when someone breaks the rules

When you report somebody, the chat ends straight away and you will never be matched with them again.

Accounts reported by several different people are kept away from everyone else, then paused for a day, and for a week if it keeps happening. One report alone never bans anyone, so nobody can get you kicked out on their own.

Two separate "seems under 18" reports lock an account for 30 days. Anything involving a child may be passed to the police.
